The HENLEY MEN’S SHED opened June 2009 and now boasts a membership in excess of 120 who get involved in a vast array of activities in the Shed ranging from woodwork, woodturning, metalwork, horticulture, garden tool maintenance, cooking (in the kitchen or pizza oven), storytelling group, library, themed tutorials and Men’s health information sessions. Members choose to make things for themselves or join in on a community good project.
The great thing about the Men’s Shed, is that it can be many things to many different blokes and they come and go as they please to do something or nothing, it’s all about blokes being blokes together, and enjoying every minute of it.
The Henley Shed is a purpose built facility with a current floor area of 620 square metres. Blokes are most welcome to visit and join in during regular hours Monday to Thursday between 8:30am and 2-30pm (approx), Friday 8:30am till noon.
The shed is located 100 metres south of the main entrance to the Henley Leisureland on Colombo Road, Masterton 5810.
