The Dargaville Menz Shed was officially opened by our Mayor Greg Gent on Saturday 15 July 2017. Our Trustees then completed setting up benches and machinery which enabled us to hold a General Meeting of all members and interested people on Saturday 29 July 2017 to form a shed committee to run the day to day operations.
We have a group of regular attendees (26 members presently), some of whom are doing their own small projects, and some who are refurbishing donated machinery that is in need of some TLC. We are also refurbishing some furniture for our local hospice.
We get regular inquiries about what we do in our shed, and people coming in to have a look at our facilities and to pick up a membership form and a copy of our rules.
Our annual membership fee is $30.00 and we have a daily honesty box fee of $2.00 to cover the cost of tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits.
