Membership of MENZSHED NZ…

  • provides access to the knowledge, skills and resources of other member sheds,
  • contributes to providing the bigger picture of men’s sheds in New Zealand and
  • entitles you to a range of supplier benefits and discounts.

Sheds may apply to join MENZSHED NZ by completing an online application.

Supplier benefits and discounts

These benefits do not replace any arrangements you may have made locally. Benefits available to member sheds include:

Bunnings

  • A PowerPass card for member sheds – variable discounts across a range of in-store and yard products.

Cabot’s

  • Cabot’s generously offer 10 ltr of product delivered freight free to your shed.  This annual offer is distributed to member sheds during April to claim during the year.
  • If your shed requires additional products, perhaps for a community project, please contact Summer Gray.

Carba-Tec New ZealandCarba-Tec

  • Contact Grant Oxenbridge at Carba-Tec for that special bit of machinery for the shed. Sheds must be a member of MENZSHED NZ and the machinery must be purchased for use within the shed.
     

MachineryHouse

  • Contact the company for the discount applicable for the product your shed or sheddies require.  You must quote your shed’s MENZSHED NZ membership number, which is at the bottom of the membership certificate.

NZ Safety Blackwoods

  • Enjoy trade pricing on all products (excluding sale price items) for the shed and shed members. The company has stores in many cities and you can view the product range here.

Rothbury Insurance Brokers, Wellington

  • Rothbury’s offer an insurance package tailored for sheds that are financial members of MENZSHED NZ.  Information about the cover provided and policy wording is available here.

   Resene

  • Resene offers member sheds and their shed members:
    • Significant discounts for paint and products for shed charitable projects.
      Requires documentation on the project and the discount code.
    • Discounts for paint and products available to your members for their personal projects.
      Requires proof of shed membership and the discount code.
  • Your shed’s management have instructions on how to access these member only offers.
  • Sheds may also apply for free paint through the Resene PaintWise recycling scheme.  Apply here

  • A free listing in each edition of the magazine.
  • A one-year complimentary subscription for new member sheds of MENZSHED NZ.

Workspace LED Lighting.

  • Workspace offer a discount of 15% on our normal sales prices to all MENZSHED members as well as any of the members’ friends.
  • Pricing for the WS1200 75 watt (superior to a twin 1500mm fluro) will be $109.65 incl GST and freight (norm $129.00). The WS1200T (superior to a quad 1500mm fluro) will be $169.15 incl GST and freight (norm $199.00)
  • To get the discount all that needs to be done is to enter Menzshed in the “Coupon” field when they get to the checkout. We will keep the coupon available for 24 months, effective immediately.
  • Our lights are covered by a full 5-year warranty in the rare event that something fails. We are also available to answer any questions your members might have in regard to lighting.
