The MASTERTON MENS SHED (formerly HENLEY MENS SHED) opened June 2009 with a membership of approx. 120 men who get involved in a vast array of activities in the Shed ranging from woodwork, woodturning, metalwork, horticulture, garden tool maintenance, cooking (in the kitchen or pizza oven), storytelling group, library, themed tutorials and men’s health information sessions. Members choose to make things for themselves or join in on a community good project.
The great thing about the Men’s Shed, is that it can be many things to many different blokes and they come and go as they please to do something or nothing, it’s all about blokes being blokes together, and enjoying every minute of it.
The Masterton Shed is a purpose-built facility with a current floor area of 620 square metres. New blokes are most welcome to call in and see what’s going on, on the day.
Opening Hours:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8.30am till noon. Tuesday & Thursday 8.30am till approx. 2pm.
Location:
The shed is located street side at 7 Colombo Road, Masterton 5810.
