When We’re Open:
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday — 9am to noon
If you are visiting to check out our Sales Room, bring an item to repair, or ask us to make you something — please arrive by 11.30am.
If you’d like to see if Levin Menzshed is a place you’d like to join — come by around 9.30am and stay for a cuppa and chat at smoko.

About Levin Menzshed:
Levin Menzshed is a group for men whose focus is the well-being and health of its members. We achieve this by working together on projects and activities that build self-esteem and cooperation. We welcome enquiries about becoming a member.
What We Offer Members:
- Access to full carpentry and engineering workshops
- A place to chat, socialise, and to learn or teach new skills with other (usually!) retired men
- The opportunity to work on your own project or a community one — and make or repair items for our community
- A place where your health and well-being is supported
How We Help Our Community:
Our recent projects have included:
- Replacing all the building blocks for a local Kohanga Reo
- Supporting the Art Society, Thompson House, Altrusa and the Ohau Hall Committee
- Building large predator traps and rat traps, now in the Ngawhakahiamoe Bush Reserve and the Manawatu Estuary Trust land
- Housing, maintaining, assembling and decorating the Council Sleigh and Reindeer float for the annual Christmas Parade
- Making large raised garden beds for Levin War Veterans Home
- Making Christmas toys for gifting to local children each December
- Repairing locals’ loved items
- Sharpening knives and tools
- A shield with mounted axes for the Firemen’s Museum
